I pulled this little beauty out for Australia Day (or more accurately, my friend did and I just about snogged her I was so impressed). It seemed appropriate for such a nationalistic holiday. And it’s dead easy. Unless you have 3 of them and it becomes hard to squeeze the lemons.
30 ml Gin
15 ml Lemon Juice
2 tsp caster sugar
5 Basil Leaves Optional
Muddle the basil in a cocktail shaker.
Shake Gin, Lemon Juice and sugar over ice in the same cocktail shaker.
Pour into champagne glass, top with champers and congratulate yourself on such a wonderful health drink (all that herbery!)
